Well I blew it. Two nights of hanging out and I drank....alot. The great thing is that I only gained a pound.
Being away from home I cheated a little bit with eating simple carbs but overall I didn't do too bad. However, I haven't drank for quite awhile and I am eating half of what I normally do. Bad. Bad. Bad.
I had a lot of fun though. So I vowed to get back into to Phase I of the South Beach and did great...

So our bi-weekly outing with friends is going to be a theme potluck. This time it is Chinese.
Really? I love Chinese food and I know that most people are gonna get take-out. Sesame chicken, egg rolls, rice etc....Ughh. Not South Beach friendly.
So my plan is to make my food before I go and just putting it on a plate. There will be about 20 people there so I should be able to do it kind of incospiciou...

I did it! I went out with friends tonight for our usual Thursday night out and I did not have a beer.
I had two Diet Cokes and after it was all said and done it was not that bad.
One thing that did bother me was that I told my boss and a coworker that I was on a diet. Since January. 1 I had been mum about my quest and now I let the cat out of the bag. I wish I hadn't done that.

I don't care what you do to a vegetable; broil, bake, julienne, coat with herbs, eat with low fat cheese, hummus....it is still a vegetable.
And to be quite honest with you, I am a little "vegetabled" out.
I did make the Surprise Mash Potatoes, which is really cauliflower with FF Half & Half, but it was pretty good. And I got to eat steak. Of course, there was the steamed broccoli and I choked a helping down...

Well I am starting the hard core 2-week phase of the South Beach tomorrow. I have been doing an easier version of it since Jan 1 and lost 6.5 pounds so I am pretty pumped.
Bought my food for the week, worked out the meals for the hubby and kids and have my work out plan set. LOL. No, I don't have a workout plan. I will think about it.

Well finally dropped some weight. 4 pounds in a week and a half. I'll take it.
Did well today. But, damn, is there anything that does not have carbs???
I really like the Diet Tracker cause I never watched my carbs and realize that I was a huge offender.
Still plan on doing South Beach starting on Monday. I have a Hockey game on Saturday so I will have to limit my beer intake and I am OK with that.

Wow, I was one tired girl today. Really had to try and focus. Typically I would just eat something thinking "I need energy". But I don't think that is the case. I actually think I need start excercising. Yes, I know, I should be excercising. I hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, three days and 1 pound. I am not use to such little weight loss when I do a 180 on my eating habits. I am sure my body is like "Your'e starving me!"
