February wasn't that great for me. My weight fluctuated up and down, and I ended up being ill at the end of the month after a stretch when I was doing really well. In the end, my weight was about the same at the end of the month as it was at the beginning of the month. So it's time to take a step back and evaluate my goals and the methods I'm using to reach them.

January wasn't too bad for me. I managed to lose all that Christmas weight (and OMG there was far too much of that this year; I will not let that happen again next year!). I got myself back on track and didn't let the setback get me down.
My goal for January was to lose 10 lbs, and as of this morning's weigh-in, I have lost 9.6 lbs. I'm really happy about my progress even though I didn't quite achieve my goal by the specific deadline I had set. I'm hoping

Oh boy, well that was a typical Christmas season in our family! I gained an excessive amount of weight and have finally gotten myself back on track. I've lost the pounds gained in December, and am close to where I started on December 1st. I set a weight loss goal of 10 lbs for January, and I'm nearly there. I have a little less than 3 lbs to go with 10 days left in the month. Given that I'm about 10 lbs from where I wanted to be at the beginning of the month, it would be great

Well this is it. I've got 6 weeks to go before the date I set to meet my weight loss goal for 2010. When I set off on this journey, I wasn't sure what I could accomplish or what would be a realistic goal. A few months in, I decided to strive for a 50 lbs weight loss by Christmas. That is my goal for 2010 (I hope to lose another 30 lbs in 2011).

Boy, let this be a lesson to all of you: take good care of your back to avoid injuring it. I hurt my back a couple of months ago and I'm still feeling the effects. My left leg is still numb and after a long day of running around all over the place, I end up with a pretty significant limp. But my back feels okay. It doesn't hurt at all and so I'm slowly getting back to what I used to do before. I've done more lifting, more climbing ladders, more walking, etc. None of these have caused a...
