dental appt for my son and we had Burger King for lunch.  I had a whopper and in just the nick of time, substituted my fries with apple slices.  YES!  I didn't think of it until I got my whopper but I should've said dry or mustard only.  Next time I'll do better.  Even though it was 680 yum calories, I quickly saw it wasn't worth it.  But I'm okay with it.  So glad I was able to switch my greasy fries for apple slices.  It made my burger

couldn't "hold in" your stomach any longer making you feel sick?  Yup.  That was me.  I haven't arrived at my goal weight but I am 8 pounds closer and I am reaping the results of my clothes not feeling super snug anymore.  LOVE. Love. love that I am taking care of me.  Keep on keepin' on....

Got in a rut, scrambling to snap out of it

 Unrated

I don't know.  I just didn't work out for like three days (weekend).  I still noted my food intake but it was so odd to me that the more I didn't follow my routine, the more I wanted to just not do it.

I'm consistently weighing daily and checking in on fitclick but when I'm wanting a snack, I almost become an animal!  I can't eat fast enough!   I tend to want to snack when I'm watching a show on t.v.

Solutions?  Continue doing wh...

I've been waking up early to walk every morning and for the most part, has been going fine.  This morning, I just didn't want to do it.  Then I rewinded before I started tracking food and workouts and slowly got up.
I've only lost a few pounds but my clothes are fitting much better now.  It has motivated me to keep at it, even though I encountered that yuck feeling this morning.  Instead of walking the 4 miles and scrambling around like a crazy woman to get to w...

I've Lost That Always Hungry Feeling!

 Unrated
Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 3:55 PM filed under Diet & Nutrition postings
I didn't exercise one bit on Sunday.  Monday was only 3 miles, Tuesday was only 3 miles and today is Wednesday.  I exercised 4 miles this morning but will walk with my family after church.

I'm getting back into a groove again and I have lost 5.4 lbs since I started on 8/7 to track my food intack and workouts.  I'm SO excited but mostly because I don't have that always hungry feeling I use to have all the time.

So encouraged.

Yup.  I spoke too quick.  I didn't do one lick of exercise on Sunday.  I took a nap and watched some chick flick and made sure and snacked and snacked.  At least they were good snacks...but still.  It all adds up.  I still tracked it.  How disgusting.  Oh well.

I walked the 4 mile walk this morning.  Didn't do my noon 1 miler because Mark and I spent some time together.  I did just finish my 3 mile walk.  Not too bad.

Day 14 is pretty much under my belt.  I noticed that during the week, I am in a routine with my meals, my snacks, my workouts and all is well with my goal to lose weight.  Come Saturday and Sunday, my world feels like it is upside down because the lack of my regular routine.

I was ready for it this time.  Sort of.   Mentally I was ready to be aware of my tendency to be lax in my efforts.  I woke up early like normal, enjoyed my first cup of java like ...

double.  No.  triple ugh.  I had three.  Yes, three slices of Pizza Hut large pizza.  It was yum.  I told myself that I would have a salad first, then "I would be full from my salad, I wouldn't eat as many slices of pizza."  Uh. Yah, right.

I couldn't get to the computer fast enough to type in Pizza Hut Pizza to see if it was even on fitclick.com let alone see what kind of damage I caused myself.  I was shocked but not ...

It's the weirdest thing!  I wake up every morning, prepare my breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack.  I've been coming home with part of my snacks or lunch not eaten.  I end up eating that snack and just have it with my "dinner". I think I've been doing that because I don't feel very hungry.  It might be because I'm not super pumped about fruit or veggies but I've been trying to incorporate creatively other snacks.  One of my new favorit...

this morning.  Feeling guilty?  Yes, I am. I admit it.  But I've decided to get past it and am moving forward.  Work has been busy and I'm finding myself constantly getting up to go get my next snack.  Not that I'm eating all the time but Breakfast, Morning Snack, Lunch, Afternoon Snack all take effort!  That is fine.  I am saving calories by subsituting the butter with the If Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray.  Also, I dared to only use one piece of who...
