Old Country Buffett on the First Day of Nutrisystem

After finally makeing the committment to Nutrisystem and following the diet on day 1, my inlaws (God bless them) took us all to Old Country Buffett  after my daughters play last night.

  I'm happy to say that I did great!  I had a Turkey Breast Salad without dressing and I didn't eat the cheese.  This was a great test on day 1 to my committment.  This also is a sign that I will be tested each and every day to my committment to loose weight. ...

A New Day on Nutrisystem

After struggling to loose weight on my own, I decided to invest in some help and I bought into Nutrisystem.  My food came yesterday and I started today.

I had a good day training today.  I ate well and followed a low cal diet.  I had a good workout with Garen lifting weights.  I am gaining some confidence that if I stick with this that I can meet my goal.

I found a cool website that helps to calculate calories from when my wife cooks.  She made some outstanding Banana Poppy Seed Muffins tonight with an awesome glace.  I calculated on line that each muffin contained approx. 205 calories.  In the past I...

Day 3

Today went pretty well considering it was a Saturday and my wife is a great cook.  I did OK on my calorie intake until the evening.  I am finding that a great deal of my calorie intake comes from drinks.  I am going to have to make a conscience effort to drink more water.   

I rode the bike for 9 or 10 miles and went on a 2.5 mile walk.  I really need to start my strength training.  I hope to start lifting on Monday.

I did much better on my diet today.  Tomorrow is Saturday and I am looking forward to getting a good cardio and strenght workout in.

I went to the Colts game last night with a friend.  That put a real monkey wrench in my diet.  Eating at the Red Robin and drinking a large coke at the game put we way over my calorie budget.  I also had to miss the workout that was scheduled to make kickoff.  Even with all of this considered I still probably consumed less calories then I did on a normal day.  I will make day 2 better.
