Well, it was nearly one year to the day that my husband passed away, age 59. I had started the previous year(2011) losing weight and exercising. My shape is slowly coming back...I am not rounder than I am tall anymore, fitting into size 12 jeans, was in size 16 when I started this in April. Packed up all my size 16 and 14 cothes, gonna give them to Goodwill, I am feeling so much healthier, not so tired all the time, actualy feel like doing things when I come home from work. 20 pounds down, gonna pat myself on the back and have a bigger serving of lettuce!!!Actually, I think I will treat myself to a pedicure, and admire my skinny, newly painted toes!

Had to have a co-worker staple my top in the back today, I've lost enough weight my tops are baggy and hang off my front...not so with the pants...my bottom always stays way past it's welcome!!!

19 lbs weight loss today, need to increase my activity/exercise, I am slowing way down on weight loss...still have 37 lbs to go, I'm about 1/3 of the way there. This is not easy, but rewarding when I look at how far I've come...try not to get discouraged about how much further I must go......

This morning I moved my BMI from "obese" to" overweight"....I know this sounds horrible to celebrate that I am now only overweight instead of obese, but it is a step in the right direction!

So my 26 yr old son is in financial difficulty and is moving back home next month, not the worst thing in the world, but man I wish he would get his act together. He's so smart and has a really good personality, but just doesn't have much motivation to do much with his life, hope I can get him back on track soon and back out of my house!!! Gonna try to motivate him to take control of his life,gonna try to KEEP control of mine!!

As of this morning I have lost 15 pounds so far, it is becoming second nature to really think about what I am eating, to try to work in more exercise and be more active. I still have 42 pounds to go, but I am on my way. This is the first weekend I haven't derailed completely and now I can start the week on track and not have to work at getting back to the routine for several days! I am proud of myself. Spent the day with my Mom and nieces going to garage sales all day. Loved spending time with them, had to find some new clothes because all mine are actually getting too baggy.. Didn't want to spend alot so second hand is the way to go!!Had 8 people over for dinner, made an awesome meal, grilled chicken breasts, mixed greens and fresh vegetable salad, grilled asparagus, grilled potatoes and mixed fruit salad for desert. I started "dieting" in April, but didn't get serious until mid May, after only losing 4 pounds in 6 weeks. Having been on many different diets before, I know what I should eat, that I should drink alot of water, that I have to exercise or at least move more every day, and that I will have days where I don't do so well.
