Dumbbell Step Ups: Transverse

Secondary Muscles Trained:  Gluteus Maximus
1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart directly behind, but parallel too, a platform such as an aerobics step. Hold dumbbell in each hand, arms by sides.
2. Step one foot up onto the box, rotating your foot so that you are now facing forward.
3. While balancing on that foot raise the other foot off the ground onto the platform.
4. Lower one foot at a time back to the ground so you are back in the starting position.
