8 = high effort -- conversation is extremely labored

6 = optimum effort -- conversation is difficult, but possible

4 = medium effort -- conversation is easy to maintain

2 = warm up

Exercise Comments

I really worked this. Got my heart rate up @ about 6 MPH. Excellent workout full speed entire hour. It was a little challenging at first in my 5 finger vibrams (the bottom of my feet were cramping), but really great after about 30 mins.

Its a good training tool but I like the treadmill better
