Step Ups: Lateral Skips

Calories Burned:  340 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Primary Muscles Trained:  Thighs
Secondary Muscles Trained:  Outer Quadriceps
1. Stand straight with your feet shoulder-width apart next to a raised platform such as an aerobics step.
2. Step sideways onto the platform.
3. Push up with the foot atop the platform raising your other foot up to meet it.
4. As your opposite foot comes to the platform, the original foot should land softly on the opposite side of the platform.
5. Continue this motion of moving from side to side with relative speed.
