Yoga Level 1: Staff Pose

Calories Burned:  204 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Begin seated with your legs extended straight in front of you.

Place your hands by your hips. Fingertips point forward. Shoulders are down.


Exhale: Lengthen along the back of your legs as your flex your feet, bringing the little toes back as far as the big toes.

Inhale: Lengthen your spine. Your tailbone reaches downward as the top of your head reaches for the sky. Think of lengthening the front, back and sides of the body equally. Shoulders stay down.

Hold for 5 or more breaths.
