Yoga Level 2: Camel Pose

Calories Burned:  238 calories per hour   (based on a body weight of 150 lbs.)
Begin kneeling with a straight line from knee to ear.

Open your chest to take your hands around to rest on the at the top of the buttocks, fingertips down.

Inhale: Lengthen your spine: tailbone reaching down, top of the head reaching for the sky.

Exhale: Maintain the long spine as you lift and open your chest and to arc up and backward. Your hands support your back.

Inhale: Arc back further until you can place your fingertips on your heels. Keep your thighs perpendicular to the floor.

If you can, place the palms of your hands along the soles of your feet.

Hold 3 to 5 breaths.

Inhale to return to upright.
