You go Girl!
Hey Sheena,
I'm impressed, you're dinner sounds delicious except for the salmon part :( I don't eat fish much and definitely not salmon. My friend practically lives off of salmon LOL. Her husband is an avid fisherman so she has no choice really hehe. What's up with him anyway? grilled chicken, spud and veggies sounds great to me :) you'd better hand him the cereal box like tb said LOL. Been exercising with my Wii, doing Gold's gym boxing. Crumbs i'm sore tonight LOL but i'm determined to stick at it.

Not a Fish Fan Either
Yah it was actually a really good dinner. I don't like fish much either, salmon is what I like the best if I have to eat it but I don't like fish in general. Warren is a fisherman now too, his best friends Dad asked him to go with him one day and then after that he loves it! So I'm stuck trying to cook the damn thing all the time, every time he goes fishing he seems to catch his limit which is usually 4 so we've got a freezer full of fish...I try to give them away but Warren is so proud we usually eat'em. But I'm getting better and better at cooking them.

Oh I've told him he gets what he gets but now if he doesn't want what I make he cooks instead which is fine by me. His cooking consists of BBQ, Stir fry, or eggs....all of which are okay for nutritional value. I just make the side dishes to go with it....not sure what we are gonna have tonight though....

That's pretty much the only workout I do is on the Wii. I like the yoga, the step class, strength training, and the boxing....the boxing is the best cause I end up dripping with sweat. We usually take the dog for a walk too every night. We haven't for a couple of days now cause she's in trouble...there is a hole in the fence somewhere and she keeps taking off. The neighbourhood kids like to catch her and give her back which is nice, I'm just scared she's gonna get hit by a car. We'll probably take her for a walk tonight though cause I think it's unfair to keep her in the house all day and roam the backyard a few times.

Hi Ladies,
I did it!! 188lbs this afternoon so that's my first 10lbs gone!! Yaaayy!!
Gosh i'm hungry haven't eaten yet and my stomach is growling LOL so i'm going to make this short. I'm addicted to boxing hehe its about the only 'workout' that I enjoy doing :) its working so i'm going to stick with it.
Oh Sheena, sorry to hear your pooch is up to mischief. Have you got enough room to put a long leash on her? long enough that she can get to the fence but not go through it hehe. A dog run. i'm cruel eh? not really I don't want her to get hurt either :)
Well lots to do so i'll leave you. Have a great weekend!!

CONGRATS CAT!!!
That is awesome! I'm so happy for you.

You said that you enjoy boxing? What kind of boxing, do you go to the gym or a video, or the Wii? I've been doing boxing on the Wii and I like it, but the jogging on the Wii makes me sweat the most.

So far I'm only down 6lbs...I guess that's good but I really wanted to lose the 10...that's okay. You up for working on the next 10lbs together and everyone else?

Actually we do have a dog run thinger but she hates it. She whines like she's getting murdered!!!...so Warren got some chicken wire from his friends Dad and he nailed it on the parts of the fence that have loose boards. She hasn't escaped in a few days so it's fixed for now...it doesn't look pretty, but it works!

I've got a baby shower to go to tomorrow. I'm excited, my cousins' girlfriend just had a baby boy and my Auntie invited me to go. This will be the first baby shower I've ever been to. I baught a really soft sleeper that is cream colour with yellow, blue, and brown poka dots. And I baught a onesie that Warren picked out that is blue and says "Lock up your daughters" on it, and we got a cream colour teddy bear that rattles, and a fleece yellow blankie....everything matches. I hope all of that is okay for a baby shower present.

Anyway I'm hungry and dinner is almost ready, talk to ya later.

Great Present!
Hi Sheena,
I'm up for the next ten!! 6lbs is good :) i'm not expecting to make the 10 every month but anything near that will be good. Thats a great shower gift. I love the 'lock up you daughters' LOL. Hope you have a nice time. I do the boxing on the Wii but its the Golds gym cardio workout that I like the best. The boxing on wii fit gets me confused when you have to include steps LOL. I've no coordination!! Being extremely lazy today.1pm and still in my dressing gown LOL. Hope you are being more productive than me.

I lost inches not weight
Yah 6 pounds isn't bad but I really would like to see the numbers go down. I feel like I'm not getting any rewards from all the work I put in without the scale going down...but I've been measuring too and I lost about 2 inches from my abdomen...which is supposed to be a really good thing, but my clothes still feel like they fit the same and I'm only down 6 pounds.

Everyone knows it's a slow process but the scale is what breaks my motivation. Maybe it's better to only weigh in once a month for me?

Don't focus on the Scale.
Hi Ladies,
Well only managed 1lb loss this week but i'll take it
Don't focus on the scale too much Sheenah. Are you like me? jump on it six times a day LOL. Wish I could stop but every time I go to the loo I weigh myself hehe. I should just accept the one weight because we all know it fluctuates during the day (rolleyes) 2" off your abdomen is fantastic !!
Hi Teresa, did you make the gym then? I did weights earlier this week and it screwed up my exercise on wednesday and thursday because I was so sore and tired I could'nt do anything LOL. Plan on wii-ing and trying turbo jam again this long weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving Sheenah!!

How is Everyone?
Hi Ladies,
How is everyone doing? I'm currently watching Forest Gump LOL and having a really lazy long weekend wasn't what I intended but oh well. I'm guilty of not journalling since wednesday!! don't want to let old habits creep back in so i've got to make sure I do it from now on. Got lots to do but don't seem to want to bother for some reason. The movie doesn't finish until 2pm so thats half the day gone hehe.
Hope you are all doing well.

Count me in....
So I had a pretty good week going until the weekend but I expected it to derail. It was my 12 year wedding anniversary and my wife and I were able to dump the kids off at the in-laws and get away. Instead of agonizing over what I ate I just enjoyed myself and made sure I worked out.

I got 6 good workouts in last week and I expect this week to be the same. My best workout was a 700 cal 1hr workout on Saturday. I ate cheese cake the night before as was feeling like I needed to make up for it.

Eating right is going to be the challenge this week as I am going to be travelling Monday night through Friday night. I am going to bring some protein bars and shake mix to help me along.

Right now my plan is to eat oatmeal and egg whites for breakfast and make sure I have good options with salads, veggies, wraps and low fat sandwiches for the rest of the day. I need to find some fruit...

Overall my plan is to stay under 2000 calories a day and burn at least 3000 a week working out (I have been doing cardio and strength training). This puts me on track to drop about 2-3lbs each week.

Since I am rattling on... I only plan on weighing myself weekly. I threw out my scale (I thought it was broken) and can only do it at the gym. I want to stay focused on my calorie count and workouts.
