Hi Buddies,
I was hoping to have lots to read but you're all as lazy as me LOL (only joking) I'm glad spring has arrived somewhere leunybin cuz it hasn't here lol. The sun is out today but its very breezy not been out yet so not sure of the temps. Sheena, you rocked your fit test did you? my daughter started Insanity on friday and in her last email she wrote that she was really sore today lol. I've not done anything just thought about it need to start soon i've got to renew my drivers licence I asked the girls at work "do I admit i'm 30lbs heavier or do I lie?" they laughed at me. John said "I tell them I fluctuate" lol. Hope you are all doing well and losing pounds. ~ Cathy.

Hey all!
I guess I lied about spring being here. It was really only a tease. We got a small taste of spring sunshine and warmth only to be plunged back into cold weather, rain and snow with nary a ray of sunshine to be seen in the last week or more. I'm glad to report that it hasn't stopped me from getting some exercise. It was a little easier to head to the basement to ride the indoor bike this last week. Don't know why, but I'll take it. I'm with you, Cat, I thought there would be more posts to catch up on today. How's everyone doing?? What's up in all of your worlds? Has anyone found the magic pill to make us all slim and sexy yet???

Before and after
I finally put up a before and after picture. The before is when I was at my heaviest 397 lbs. The after picture is my current weight of 168. I would have smiled but I was trying to figure out the camera I borrowed to take the picture. Just so I am clear, the pink camera is borrowed, LOL. I hope to get a better picture later after I am recovered from my hernia surgery.

Leuny, its the same here fabulous weekend now you'd think it was November again hehe. Well, its getting late so i'd better think about hitting the sack..work tomorrow ho hum.

10 lbs a month? I like the way you think!
That would be great. My problem is I work at a desk all day and have been doing the same job for many years. I find that I want to snack all the time. Lately I have been planning what I bring to work to eat and measuring for portion control etc. Hoever, people here are always bringing me food and I can't seem to say no. Someone will bring me a muffin in the morning, I put it in my desk drawer and by 3 pm it is calling my name and I cave. Actually I cave a lot. I don't know why I always give in only to have regrets. So...today I came in to a Tim's muffin sitting on my desk. Its 3 pm and its still in my drawer. So far so good. But then just before lunch someone brought me a Mocha Frappucinno which of course I drank but because of the calories I skippied lunch. I just ate a handfull of walnuts, a boiled egg, and am about to eat an apple. I am hungry. Going to try to hold out, go home have a protein shake and go for a run. If I can just find the will power and stick to it...wish me luck and any advice would be welcome.

I just read this. You rock! OK so I have found the # of lbs I need/want to loose to be "daunting" but after reading your post I think I need to suck it up and get it in gear! lol
I am going to watch your posts a little more closely as it appears I can learn something from you.

Keep up the good work. I doubt its been easy or quick and those are just two reasons why I am impressed with your results. Way to go! You should be very proud of yourslef!

Hi lilRoadrunner, welcome to our group. Sounds like you have awesome workmates but why do they feed you? do they treat everyone? or are you special? i'm just curious can you not let them know that you are watching your weight maybe they'll bring some grapes or something. It happens at my workplace occasionally. I get round it by wrapping it up and bringing it home for my hubby instead of leaving it in your desk get rid of it right away so even if you're starving its gone anyway hehe. I'd take more fruit to work there is nothing worse for a diet than a rumbling tummy. Thats when the binge eating starts. Good Luck!

Where are you girlfriends? come out!! i'm on vacation this week so the perfect opportunity to get into some form of exercise. I haven't done anything for months i'm going to take the coming week to get into the habit of exercising then when I return to work i'll be in exercise mode (so my little mind is telling me hehe) and it will become part of my daily routine. I am 17 years old
and I weigh 323 pounds. I am a junior in High School and I would love to lose 10 pounds a month so that by graduation, i can be a lot less weight! I did a diet for a week last week and lost 5 pounds, but then I lost motivation over the weekend and I've fallen back in to my bad habits of chowing down after school. PLEASE helpppp me by supporting me and encouraging me along!

Hi Mindycat,
Welcome to our group such as it is. We all seem to be struggling to keep this thread going. I'm to blame due to health reasons I haven't been checking in as often as I should. I haven't been able to diet or exercise also but i'm here to support you if you need wish the others were here too. When you say you are chowing down after school, what exactly are you chowing down on? if its chips, chocolate or cookies why don't you try substituting them for fruit or a few nuts. I know its really hard but you CAN do it! 5lbs in a week is wonderful and you can do it for more than one week I know you can. Please come back and tell me how you are doing. Good Luck ~ Cathy.
