65 yr. old beginner
I'm a 65 yr. old beginner/ want to, exerciser. I'm pretty active, but don't do a scheduled program. I'm going to try this. Anyone out there trying a step aeorobic program? That I love to do. So hopefully, I can stick with this, and do some serious exercises.

baby your knees
A long time ago I went gung-ho with the step aerobics classes without any advice NOT to support yourself with a knee forward past its ankle. As the rest of my body worked through the pain, I ruined my knees. I wish I had been more informed.

Knees
Yes, definitely watch the knees. With ANY exercise (step, lunges, etc) NEVER allow your knee to go past your toes.

There are a lot of great step programs out there. WalMart sells a really good one that I had used for a while. It comes with a step and video. I forget the name and can't find the video at the moment. But if you go into their fitness section you might find it. It was in a pretty big box.

There are also classes which are good because the routine changes so you don't get bored.

*hugs*
