Come to think of it.
We never had any traditions that stood out, except maybe my mom always made sure to have tangerines and mixed nuts in the shell in a bowl where even the kids could reach it and til this day tangerines always make me think of Christmas, but as I was thinking it was almost the only day that our parents actually played games with us, it was on Christmas day.

Now that I have a child...
all those special traditions take on a whole new feeling, but always remind me of my own Christmases from long ago.
Praying for the families in Conn. I lived about 10 miles from Newtown, and know the area well, and the people are good, hard working folks. Very tragic.

Grow up in southern calif I remember we would load up in the car and go see candy cane lane.
As an adult since I've been married 37y my husband's family tradition became mine-beginning Dec 16th we will pray the rosary together. When our children where going up we also did that.
