Addiction
I listen to a radio station today and they were talking about facebook and how people are addicted to it and how much time they spend on it. I don't have a facebook account just fitclick :) I was surprised to hear how much of a day can be spent on facebook. Are you addicted to facebook.

FB takes people's att'n away from real issues
Yes, FB is addictive, for some. Sadly, many children have actually died from neglect, due to their parents/caregivers putting fb over them. That in itself shows there is a problem here. That is on the extreme side. I have an acc't but rarely use it. Just another way that big bro can spy on us. IMHO. I would rather be on here tracking my diet, exercise and physical, emotional journey, where other's are going through similar circumstances. FB is just another way to distract people from the issues in the world.

Facebook
I see FB as a wonderful tool to share your life with family & friends that you can't see or talk to on a regular basis. I don't have any family but my parents in Canada, all my relatives live in England. With FB we feel connected to each others lives & stay in constant contact. For that reason alone I love FB :) For all those addicted to FB, they obviously are lacking something in their lives like any addicted person & for them I do have some sympathy. At the end of the day, I'd rather hear someone is addicted to FB than drugs, alcohol or food.

Love FB
FB has reconnected me to many, many old friends I haven't seen in years. It is great keeping up with what is happening with ppl...also, with my hubby's brain injury he can, at times, repeat the same thing over and over.... FB is my daily conversation with others---

Just to follow up-
I thought fb was great in the beginning, when it first started, but now, I find it has caused me to actually lose touch with people-strange. I don't have any immediate family-all passed on-but my hub's fam is on FB-they rarely post or say hey or anything...I think it is a false sense of connection-NOTHING replaces real human interaction. Even fitclick feels a bit this waqy to me,but I don't have many friends around anymore, and have learned a lot about people over the years. The computer is my social outlet, for sure. Enjoy the day all.
