Another newbie looking for buddies! :)
Hey there everyone!

I'm a newbie to this site as well and could really use some good, motivational buds. I essentially have no support other than myself, and as we all know, self motivation is a hard nut to crack!

I've got about 100 lbs or so to lose, and am really working from the ground up...somehow I went from an active lifestyle to a completely sedentary one in the last 2 years.

No more blaming the "too hot dryer" for the mysteriously shrinking clothes! Time to buck up, take control, and find some determination to stick with it this time.

If you're interested in buddies, check out my blog for a bit more about me:)

Looking forward to using this site and buckling down to undo the damage I have done in the past 2 years..

:)

I will support you!
I am in the same boat! I have let myself go for 2 years and now I have to undo the damage. Let's do this together! I had a great first day yesterday and hope to do so each and everyday. The challenge for me will be the at night eating and on the weekends with less structure to the day. I am trying to outsmart myself and having planned meals to fight any kind of temptations. I cut myself off at dinner last night around 6:00 and that was hard. My biggest weakness is after my daughter is put to bed, is eating in front of the TV. That is such an old habit for me. So let's keep each other accountable and get this done once and for all!

Support thank yous!
Great! I have the same problem...my fiancee doesn't like to eat before 8 or 9 PM...that is a major issue I'm working on with him since I come home from work and then cook dinner. Weekend eating is a different problem...I tend NOT to eat anything during the day or go on a baking spree which I promptly give away. Having been a professional cook, it's REALLY hard to avoid all the lovely fats that make food, well, taste good! I'm starting to find alternatives, omissions, or creating recipes with minimal fat, but packed with flavor.

Now, it's a matter of getting used to eating regular meals 3x a day, and not one big ole fatty/comfort/"whatever is fastest" meal late at night.

I also need to figure out how to work in my exercise plan..as a freelance English teacher here in Germany, it's not your typical 9 - 5 schedule, so it's tricky to fit it in, especially as I commute and often have back to back classes.

Any suggestions? I like to exercise early in the morning, but, with the commute, most days I already get up around 530a.m....and spending an hour on the nordic walker at 430 am somehow doesn't seem so appealing at that hour--haha!
