BEGINNING ANEW...FOR THE UPTEENTH TIME!!
I'm a soon to be 42 y/o woman from Chicago, Ill. and have been battling with my weight for a few years now. I'm 5'5 and weigh 276 lbs. Within the last 3 years I've have 3 major surgeries 2 of them last year (knee, gall bladder, and hysterectomy). I have hypertension and with meds have it under control. I've been the same weight now for the past 6 years. Earlier this year I did join a gym and was going (yes I said WAS) regularly. In March I suffered a great loss...my fathers' passing. From that day it seems I've lost my way I had a small amount of weight loss but then looked to food for comfort. No need to say but the weight came back with a vengeance. I fell into a deep depression and my doctors have instructed me to lose weight before any other issues arise. I am on my own with this journey and decided to look for some support to help me in THIS TIME succeeding to my goal.
Right now..financially the gym is not an option. I need help in what I can do at home as far as exercise and I've been researching meal plans. Any and all suggestions are welcomed and deeply appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Hello,
I have read your entry and would like to reply. This is my first time on this website and I, too, want to lose weight. The financial end is not pleasant and I realize that I need to take better care of myself and want to lose weight. I am at 270 and would like to work moderately in an exercise that will not cause injuries. Maybe you and I can continue to stay in touch and make this a team effort.

I'M INTERESTED TOO!
Hi, I have been scanning the message boards and your message caught my attention. I also am almost 42 and depending on my mood 80 to 100 pounds overweight. I have been using this site regularly since jan. 1st and have found it to be a great help. So far without really trying, I have lost 13 pounds. I did it by logging in every single thing I ate whether it was fast food to home made food. everything! For me that habit is a good one. I don't believe you have to starve or eat salads every meal to lose weight just watch the calories. Before you know it, you will figure out if its worth it to eat pizza or a balanced meal. Get in that habit first then worry about the exercise. If you would like to email me my address is [email protected]. maybe we could email each other to keep ourselves in check.
