Breakfast helped!
I'm not one for big breakfasts. I usually just have fruit or a bowl of cereal (the healthy kind). About an hour later I go to the gym and I'm tired and really having to push myself. Today was different.

This morning I had oatmeal and added raisins and banana to it. I didn't have much, or so I thought. But the caloreis were higher than I thought they would be.

Anyway, oatmeal is a great source of carbs. It seems to have given me the energy I needed to have a really great workout. It's hard to describe but I felt different than I usually do. I had not only more energy but my stamina was better too. :)

Just wanted to share. :)

Protein
If your working out 1 hour after you eat I would just have a good protein shake with a banana, or just something small with lots of energy.

Losingit, I make it with hot water and add fruit. Either banana and raisins or apple and cinnamon...stuff like that. Yeah you can buy apple cinnamon oatmeal but it tastes better with fresh apples.

jrtaylor, I do drink a protein shake after I get home from the gym. I use 1 scoop, as recommended to me. Sometimes I put banana into the shake (love the taste)
