Calorie takein question
im new to the site :)
so my calorie takein is 1280-1380.
i am also doing the special k challenge.
so i set up my diet plan and my actual calorie takein is less than 1000. is that bad?
it seems like a lot of food to eat. lol

Amount of calories you consume!
Helpful Tip: depending on your weight and who you are, if you consume less that 1000 calories a day your body actually goes into starvation mode and stores anythin you eat as fat. Eating more is good! As long as it's good food and good fats! :)

Too Low is Bad
Fitclick is great at caculating the appropriate caloric intake for individuals. From what I understand if a person go below their daily needed caloric intake their body will store fat. Here is a rule of thumb for proper dietary intake and weight lost. Remember to drink 8-10 cups of water. Eat plenty of protein 60-80g/day, fat 30-50g/day, carbs, 10-18g/serving, fiber 20-25g/day, follow your caloric intake as suggested by Fitclick most of their suggested menus will follow the guide I included. I may be a little off. Ask your physician about your dieting plans. Healthy weight lost should be 1-2lbs a week. I hope this helps. 1CuteT

You should eat a minimum of 1000 calories per day
Your body goes into "starvation mode" whenever you *suddenly* drastically reduce your daily caloric intake or drastically raise your daily calorie burn. This slows down your metabolism, so that despite all your efforts, you will lose less weight than if you had approached it either more slowly or less drastically.

Apart from that warning, studies have shown that a diet of less than 1000 calories for women (1800 for men), at least when not extremely closely monitored by a physician (or administered by one using a liquid I.V. loaded with nutrients and pumped directly into the bloodstream) can result in severe deficiencies in needed energy for basic body organ activity, and is thus unsafe over a number of months.
