Cardio Exercise...does time add up?
When doing any sort of cardio...does 10 minutes of cardio 3 times a day burn the same amount of calories as doing 30 minutes of cardio once a day??

same calories, less heart and lungs
I think they burn similar amounts of calories, but your heart and lungs work harder during the endurance cardio.

Thanks
I totally understand that! I do at least 30 min in one shot of cardio in a day but if I have 10 minutes, say while waiting for the noodles to cook, I like to jump on the elliptical and was hoping that few minutes extra on there paid off! :)

I like your style...
How in the world I injured my heel doing just 10 minutes of aerobics on a thickly padded carpet, I don't know. All I can figure is I went gung-ho without wearing arch supports. Anywho, to me 30 minutes of cardio is heroic and I love your idea of hopping on the low-impact machine for short bursts of cardio. That sounds super smart to me. Thanks for your reply and for the inspiration.
