Create new food no longer tracks?
Why does the site no longer award points for entering new foods?

We actually haven't granted points for adding a new food previously. I think what you meant is that it was no longer appearing in the Activity Log on the Home page. That will be corrected shortly.
To see what you gain points for, you can click on any user's point total and see what they did to collect them. We still haven't decided what to do with the points yet, but they do give a good idea as to who is the most active on the site.
(p.s. we did consider giving a point for adding a new food but were concerned about users actively adding bad data to collect points)
