Curves Gym?
Hey everyone!
I was thinking about joining a gym but I HATE calling them and asking questions cause I know they are just trying to sell me a membership. Anyway there is only 3 gyms here were I live, one is too expensive, the second is way too busy (I don't want to wait in line to use a machine), and the third is Curves and I've never been...I was wondering if anyone has been there, what you liked and didn't like...and how it is as far as billing is concerned, is it pay as you go or membership, etc...? That would be great if you could let me know.

Curves Gym?
Hey Sheena, gyms can be really expensive, especially when they require a long contract. I have belonged to an elite gym, a wonderful women's only gym, Curves and now the YMCA. The Y is hands down the best place for me! I love the classes, the facility, the friendliness, everything. I did not join before because I did not want to be around kids. Well, no problem. And there are so many many machines, there is literally no waiting, even during the busy after work hours. I have made friends, gotten to know the trainers. Not expensive either. Good luck. This decision will make a lot of difference in how long you stick with it.

Curves Membership
Curves is fun and motivating and can be expensive. One problem, you sign a contract for a year and if you don't go, you still pay for it.
I was released from my contract only because I had a letter from my doctor forbidding me to do the exercises. They were not happy with me for quitting.

Curves gym
I love it! Some times health insurance will pay for it. My health insurance pays for the basic and I pay for any extras.
