Diet Coke withdrawal
Day one with no Diet Coke - WHEW! Wasn't sure I could do it. I'm more excited about skipping the soda than I am meeting my calorie goal.

Weight has crept up on me this past year. I exercise alot (several times a week at the gym) but my eating - especially at night - was WAY too much.

Looking forward to meeting all of you,

Debbie

I couldn't do it.
I congratulate you on giving up diet coke. What made you decide to give it up?

It triggers carb cravings.
Scientists say it fools your body into having sugar withdrawal symptoms. Then you end up eating more than you would have if you had not had any diet soda. An article I just saw here on FitClick called Mind Your Body says "The key to quelling a physical habit is to wean yourself off. Cut back from five Diet Cokes to four to three." Go slow so as not to invite withdrawal, until your caffeine consumption is at an acceptable level for you and your health. "But nature abhors a vacuum," says McClain. "So find some decaf beverage to fill the holes in your drink schedule." If you used to have a cappuccino each morning, try sipping hot chocolate instead."

Diet Coke
That is the best way just cut back on your consumption. Have a coke and a smile. That may sound bias but I work for the company lol.

Diet Coke
I am a diet cokaholic. But I started exercising 6 days a week intensely and cutting my calorie intake to about 1500 per day. I've lost 30 pounds. It is the diet and exercise that matter most. I was obese. Now I have about 15 more pounds and I'll be in the normal range. You can do it. I love food. I just eat healthy food instead of junk.
