Everything in moderation
We need some fats in our diet. Eating too much of anything without sufficient exercise to burn calories off will make u fat.

I try to get 20% of my daily calories from healthy fat. Actually not getting enough fat creates a metabolic problem.

Thanks for the replies and in summary:
1) Fats are the densest source of energy available
2) Fats help your body absorb the other nutrients you feed it
3) fats nourish the nervous system, help maintain cell structures
regulate hormone levels and more.
4) Certain Fats are unhealthy and can lead to diseases and health
problems, saturated fats should be eaten in moderation and
Trans fats should be avoided.
5) So build your diet around healthy fats, eat saturated fats in
moderation and avoid trans fats completely!
