Do you "give up" something for lent?
Here in the south we will be starting our lenten season and people tend to "give up" things that they really enjoy eating.... for lots of people it may be soft drinks, for others it's candy. For me I think it will be BEEF!!! I love to eat a good steak or ground beef patty. I will savor every bite tonight.

I have already gave up alot i enjoyed since i started this journey(laughing!)
You are lucky with the warmth,i think up North here we eat less steak in the colder months seeing as no one wants to go hardcore and grill in the snow!(laughing) but i have done it. I do eat alot of steak in the summer, more crock pot recipes beef stew and such. *** One delicious super low fat one that is simple and very savory my gram had passed alog to me- chicken thighs, de skin them...a couple carrots chopped and celery chopped (optional potato , garlic and onion) you can add 1 cup of fat free or low sodium chicken broth and 1 cup of water just to give some coverage in pot , if no broth.... water is fine. ( I tend to save a slice of the chicken skin just for added flavor for the broth, and remove it mid way through cooking) cook on high for like 5 hrs. until desired tenderness.
