Eating the calories I burn?
I am supposed to have between 1200 and 1300 calories per day. If I burn 400 calories exercising, am I supposed to add that to my caloric intake? Otherwise my total intake of calories for the day will be 800? It seems silly to eat the calories I burn because than what's the point of burning them. It also seems unhealthy to only have a total of 800 calories in a day.

calorie calculations
we currently don't factor calories based on activity (we used to but turned off the feature because a lot of users were confused) so you should assume that you need more calories based on greater activity.

the amount more is really up to you. assuming that your body will crave more calories (it will) you'll need to keep track of overages. you certainly could add the exact same amount, but that might keep you from reaching your goal. i always think that users should listen to their bodies and eat more if they truly are working out hard, but always within limits and within a type of food that makes sense. you need some more calories, eat an apple (or two). have a small bowl of high fiber cereal (small is the key). as long as you're staying close to your targets and are consistent in exercising and eating over time you'll succeed.
