Exercise Tracker - not user friendly
The exercise tracker needs work. Hard to save a workout you spent time trying to figure out how to create....Love the idea, though...

pending updates
an update is coming soon that will allow you to search for exercises (much like it is done on the diet side)

we have longer term plans regarding a workout building tool as well. right now you build it in the tracker and then choose dates to create the workout. in the future workout building will have its own interface so you can build routines outside the tracker.

Changing exercises in FitClick-planned workouts
Some of the exercises given to me in the FitClick-planned workouts I am unable to do, either because my gym doesn't have those machines or due to physical limitations (bad back). I generally substitute a similar exercise in its place and swap it out in the workout tracker. It would be nice, however, if the workout-planner would then stop giving me the exercises I replaced, or at least ask me if I would like to permanently substitute.

Thanks!

Site, training set ups. NOT user friendly.
Forget tracking, I can't even set up a plan. there is a race setting, yet no plans. Then when I try to flip to set up something else, because I know of other sites I could use for race training, it won't bring up anything but randomness. it's really frustrating. I understand this is a beta site. But it will quickly discourage beginners to the healthy lifestyle from using your site or even bothering with any others. I'm sorry to say this. I use another site and it works much better, I have been with them for 3yrs and have never had issues using their site. I came here because a friend was told about the site. So, as an experienced person on what to expect is having trouble how is someone who is new to all this supposed to fair??

I don't think I'll be back here. It was intended to be a support for my friend, but it's just to difficult to set stuff up. I hope for the sake of your users you fix this soon. Good luck with your site :D It is a good idea regardless :D

Even posting on the forum is not user friendly and I've been on boards for years now. Entering a title just to post??

I DO NOT LIKE THE CHANGES
I liked the old site way way better. The old site had distances and times set for you, so I didn't have to figure out my goals. Go back to how it was immediately!!!

Yeah I totally agree
The old one was way better as fitclick took care of keeping track of everything and it automatically generated a workout based on my needs and progress.

I hate it the way it is right now.

Please go back to the old format!

I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

Also, what happened to all the workouts!
I was using the beginner, advanced and intermediate toning workouts for womens and I can's find them anywhere. Did you delete them or somehting. I've been with fit click for 6 months and now am thinking of changing to another site because all my workouts are gone!!!!

all workouts are still there
None of the workouts are gone -- the only thing that changed is the navigation to access those routines. To change your workout you use the "switch" function on the tracker, just as before.

Previously you would use the "Setup your workout" to access FitClick workouts. You can still do that, but when you get to the next page you choose "I want FitClick to choose a plan for me." Instead of navigating through all the FitClick workouts, you choose a goal and then you'll see pre-sorted FitClick workouts.

Another way to do the same thing is to use the "Use another member's workout" option. The "other member" is FitClick and the workouts will be listed below that.

If you want to use what was called the "Select" track. You choose the "I want FitClick to build a plan for me" option. We will make a text change to identify that option as the "Select" option.

Sorry about not commenting on the change previously. We did this to make navigating to user workouts consistent no matter what type of workout (user-created, FC-created) selected and so that the access matches what we do on the diet side.

There does appear to be a bug with the pre-sorted results when you choose the "I want FitClick to choose a plan for me" option so we will look into it.

Someone in the thread mentioned looking for race training plans -- this is what is available (and was previously available):

Calories Burned not showing up on MY HOME page
I'm new to fitclick but have been able to figure out how to enter foods, exercises, etc. HOWEVER, when I go to "MY HOME" page to view the calories eaten - the calories burned, the calories burned remain @ 0 even though I've got cardio and strength training in my workout schedules for the past 2 days.

Please advise - is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I find th exercise, save it as a favorite, select it & add the time, reps, etc. and save changes and submit. But still nothing shows up as far as calories burned.

Thanks.

cals burned not appearing
cals burned is showing as zero because you didn't enter any time when you submitted the workout. go back to those days and enter distance and time values where appropriate
