Never stretch cold muscles, you are more likely to injure yourself.

"Never stretch cold".......Stretch when your muscles are warm,ideally after physical activity such as resistance training or aerobics. Stretch to a mild-intensity (40%-50% of maximum intensity). The stretch should feel like a comfortable pull. Hold stretches for 30-60 seconds, until the muscle relaxes.Pay extra attention to your tightest joints 1144. Proper body alignment is critical for getting maximum results. Repeat each stretch 2-3 times.
