Exercise to accommodate winter weather--
Because of the weather I tend to store my bike and resort to inside exercise....I think KICKBOXING may be my favorite at this point... burns lots of calories in the same amt of time... Do you also change exercise regiment in the winter months?

Hockey and Skiing
The bike and running outside is over but hockey and a trip to Jasper, Banff, or Fernie to go skiing takes the winter blues away. We like to ski 6-8 times in the rockies pending on the weather. Last year great conditions but all it did was snow.

Winter exercises
Just in USA for 2 months. I am not use to the cooler wheather and am finding myself making excuses. But, I did exercise tapes in Asia, and still can do them here. I went on a hike yesterday in the woods to an old cave I use to go to whenever I was a young kid; it seemed a lot harder as an adult. Took grandsons along, 2 and 4 years old. I carried the 2 year old most of the time. Good workout!

More Classes
In the winter months, I reduce my running by one day a week and add more classes (Spin, BodyPump, Zumba) to my routine to round out my cross-training. It's also alot of fun to get out of the solo frame of mind and make new or reconnect with fitness friends.

Good to have you back!
I understand the cold weather thing. When a cool front comes through here, I find myself mimicking the cat and wanting to just curl up on the couch with a good book and "catnap" the day away. LOL
I have a Netflix account which I use to try out different exercise videos. I've been wanting to try yoga, so I rented the Biggest Losers' Weightloss Yoga. I LOVED it!!! I will definitely by purchasing that one. Plus, I have my treadmill strategically placed in front of the television. The only time I allow myself to watch any of my shows on the DVR is when I'm on the treadmill. Throw in two horses that begin acting like divas if I don't show up to work with them daily and I manage to stay off of the sofa with the cat. LOL
