I totally understand food addiction
Hi Ifcallie, I have ideally... 200 lbs to lose. I've tried weight watchers, nutrisystem, barely eating... and they all last about a week. So, I'm trying this site, and I'm bound and determined to start exercising.. at least walking 4 times a week, and my plan is to start today.. once I wake up.. 11/1. But, I would love to have someone to talk to about it all and keep me focused. If you'd like to talk, I'm here!

Food Addiction
I have over 100 lbs to lose and am trying to fight my food addiction. Nobody seems to understands ...and I don't have any support. I would love to see a support group for this.

The first step
I read these posts and I can feel the anguish.... I would love to suggest finding an overeaters annonymous meeting in your area. I started going a little over a month ago and I feel like I finally could put a reason to why over the years all my plans to lose weight had failed. Finally I feel like I can overcome my problem with food with the help and support of the other members. If the idea of facing people in public terrifies you check it out online also.

same story
I also have battled weight issues all my life-It is so shameful to think that I cannot get the upper hand when it comes to battling food-I feel like a wimp. But I believe it cost me so much more than that. Not only socially but I am now a diabetic and I am beginning to worry if I am going to be around much longer if I don't do something about the weight-I have 75 pounds to lose.

keep telling yourself:
The greatest thing about LOSING weight is GAINING a whole new life you are missing everyday....
unfortunately I have been unable to grasp that concept yet.

Accoutability
The reason I am on here right now is to get everything updated so a couple of my friends can long on keep me accountable. This, I feel, is one of the only ways I will start excersizing and keeping a food journel for more than a week or so. I know that this must sound familiar to some of you. I should check if there is an over eaters here where I live, because that would be good too. I am happy to be an accoutability partner to anyone on here. This is a real commitment to each other that you will check in everyday, every other day whatever you agree to and actually be on the other person letting them know if you noticed they didnt journel or go to the gym but also be encouraging and someone to lift you up when you fall off the wagon and share in your joy when you meet a milestone or goal.

Hi
I am working on losing about 150 pounds myself. I just happened to find this website and am very excited. My friend and I are going to try this out. We like the accountability aspect. I was just curious how you are doing on this path? Have you found a workout/ exercise plan that has worked? We would like to give you support in your efforts if you would like.
