HELP!! Please.
I am new to this website. I am looking to lose some weight and get toned. I set myself up on the ultimate beginner plan. My question, if anyone can help, is: I am on a strict budget, are there household things I can use for these workouts as I cannot really afford to join a gym?

Household objects
Well I'm not sure exactly what your workout entails, but I believe you should be able to use household objects. They just need to have the same effect on your body.
For example, I'm new too, and yesterday was my first day. I was instructed to lift 8lb dumbbells. If I wasn't a student with access to a gym, I probably would have weighed something with a handle, like a milk jug. As long as the objects you use can be held like the original objects, and weigh about the same amount, I don't see a problem.

Sure
A gallon of water weighs about 8 lbs. So, if you have an empty milk jug around...
You can also use sand. Wet sand. 5 gallon buckets. etc.
Also, normal calisthenics are a great way to work out. Google '5BX'

Shop around
You can "shop" through similar exercises to find ones that you can do at home (this is what I do). For example if it's a leg press, go to exercises that target legs and find one you can without equipment, like squats.

Exercises which use your own body weight are great resistant methods...
If you look at your profile page they are streaming a boot camp video, with various exercises which require no weights, so no expense. Push ups, pull ups, squats, lunges, ab work etc...
Plus what has already been suggested by using water jugs, or can goods (if too heavy) can give added weight.

Go out and get some sand. Fill in two buckets and start climbing the stairs or even you can even take a walk on the interlocked pavers around you home. You are sure to lose pounds in a few days.
