Hello everyone. Today is the day I've decided to change my life. Not for some new years resolution but because I've realized my body no longer works as it did ten years ago ;) I am unhappy with what I see in pictures and the mirror. My sweet husband loves me no matter how I look but I have to be able to love myself as well. I love who I am on the inside but I'm not too in love with the muffin top, flabby thighs and sagging butt. I do believe I have a pretty face and spectacular calves! I truly want how I feel on the inside to be reflected on the outside. I am super shy and could never imagine myself going to a gym and my friends, who are amazing people, just aren't interested in their own physical health so I have come to this site in search of friends with a common goal and support systems. I welcome any one with a positive outlook. Have a wonderful day all.

Welcome!! It is so good to have you join in on the FitClick fun!! I have the same issue with friend and family not on the same health track as me. This is a great place to share ideas and the ups and downs of it all!! :)

Yes, friends and family can make it very hard at times, but don't let that stop you! Exercise and tracking daily. Figure out a routine that's works for you. You can get up a little earlier to do your workouts, before your kids and husband wake up. Go online an purchase different types of videos to do at home. I enjoy Leslie Sansone walking videos, Zumba and resistance bands. Outdoor walking cost nothing and it works
Plan ahead daily. If your starting out with walking try splitting it up into two sessions. Morning and evening. You just have to work it out around your day. Plan all your meals for the day, in the morning. It takes dedication. You can do it! Good luck!

I agree with planning ahead!! Make a plan and then you have a little bit of ammo for temptations!!

Happy even as I am
but I have similar issue. Hub loves no matter, no issue there, but we are hardest on ourselves. We need to look beyond our physical.

hi
I am new here just started last week. I find dieting very hard because no one supports me but I discovered I have diabetes and I need to lose all this weight I've gained since high school. Just hoping to find encouragement and some advice. Thanks to all.
