Help "Staying" Motivated!!
When I first start my work out/diet plan I am super motivated I have set my goals I feel like I am ready to go and I can do it. But after a few weeks I start to lose my motivation. Weither it be because the scale is not showing any changes or I get bored, I just cant seem to stay motivated. Heck my husband even motivated me w/ a car for one of my long term goals. You would think that would keep me going. I think one of the main reasons I keep losing the motivation is because even w/ my diet changing, and my excerise routine going up. I still cant really seem to lose anything. Most people tell me I look healthy and I feel better now then 6 years ago(Weighed in @ 285 lbs) I am now @ 185 but my BMI is still 29 to 30. My "target" BMI and weight should be between 115 and 155lbs and 22 to 28 for BMI. I keep a food diary, granted I forgot sometimes. I have come to the realization that I cant always be perfect and that sometimes I can have that "bad" food as long as I dont let it ruin rest of my diet and I make up for it at a later time.
I feel like i have come so far, but this last 20-40 lbs i would like to lose is soooo far away yet!! Anybody have any suggestions, or better yet if anybody is looking for an email/support budy that would be great! BTW I know this is dumb but i keep hearing that 30 is when things start to go downhill, but I dont want to believe that! I want to know that I can do this and keep myself healthy, and I have to admit on the selfish side of me, I want to be that Hot mom!!! lol thanks for listening and hopefully someone has some suggestions!

as a side note
As a side note...

I am 30 yrs old
Weigh in currently @ 185-189 depending on the day! (dbl ugg)
I am just shy of 5'7
I work out between 3-5 days a week w/ a 6th day thrown in now and then
I dont do enough cardio and I am really trying to get more into my program, But I admit I would rather do strength training any day then the cardio so my trainer is trying to mix it up.

hey there
Hi Megan, I'm Amanda. I myself am currently about 179- 184 depending on the day. I am just over 5'7 and 24 years old. This is the lightest I have been in over 4 years, the heavest being about 230lbs (at least that is when I stopped stepping on the scale). I was stuck at about 195 for years sometimes going down to 189 and then completely losing motovation. I am working in camp a whole province and a half away from home and I am finding the weight is finally coming off out there. I have been pretty good at eating better and I am defintally working out more using Jillian Micheals videos. I really hate doing cardio probably because I smoke and am very out of shape.... I am on this site everyday and would love to help you stay motovated if you want to be friends :) It can be very hard to keep motovated and so easy to fall off the wagon.

I am here because I do not want my sons to remember me fat.
Lose it now. It gets harder to lose as you get older. If you think it is hard now, you will be very sorry years up the road that you kept procrastinating. You don't know if you will be around tomorrow or not. Do you want everyone you love to remember you the way you are now or the way you are inside and want to be outside? Stop procrastinating and just do it and get it over with once and for all and enjoy the rest of your life with the people you love without any despair.
