High-Intensity, Short-Duration Workouts With Compound Exercises.
No need to spend hours in a fancy health club. I have been using short 10 min high intensity workouts a few times a week, to boost my metabolism.
Here is a portion of an article on livestrong.com, regarding this concept.
To boost the efficiency of your workouts, try using compound exercises. When you perform exercises that target multiple muscle groups, both the intensity and effectiveness of the workout are increased.
Examples of Upper Body Compound Exercises: Pushups- Pullups/Chinups Standing Military Press Dips Clean & Press.
Examples of Lower Body Compound Exercises: Squats Deadlifts Lunges Hip Thrusts Sled Pushing/Pulling.

Awesome.
Thanks for sharing. It's much easier to find 10 minutes than an hour! I regularly do pushups, squats, lunges and crunches for at leat 10 minutes.
