How do you avoid temptations?
I will be assisting with a fund raiser this weekend and will be baking many, many cakes---one of which is my favorite--- coconut!!! How can I avoid licking those beaters (not really) or the bowl???? I've gotta be strong bc there are sooooo may extra calories when you do things like that!

Fill Up First
I fill up on good calories before hand so I'm not hungry when making "treats".

BLT
In WW program, they call these Bites, Licks, and Tastes. They suggest to set up some sort of calorie association with these. For instance, apply a calorie count of 50 calories for say, 3 BLT's. This way you can keep track, and you know they add calories even if the calories are hard to calculate. Its all a matter of keeping up with what you actually put in your face! good luck! :)

wow
Good way to think of it---every BLT = 50 calories!!!! Thanks bunches... I will even try this at the soup kitchen where I work one day a week bc they always have things where I can get my hands on them.
