As a high-school Phys. Ed teacher, the locker-rooms can often acquire a musty odor of sweat and mildew. I’m sure you can understand there are strange and funky stenches that are often unique to youth. Kids. I've found that washing clothes inside-out usually solves the problem. The seams where fabric is sewn together will trap odor-causing bacteria. When washed inside-out, the seams are exposed to more agitation and circulation. If that's not enough, rubbing some liquid laundry detergent into the seams then washing inside-out will do the trick. They'll come out smelling like new and staying that way longer.

Is there a policy that all gym lockers must be left open & empty by the end of Saturday, for instance? That way most everyone will take their uniform home on Friday (or Saturday) at least.
