I would be glad to help
I have had that same fear. Loosing weight can be done. Just start out slow. Don't over extend yourself and don't get discouraged. I would be glad to help.

Hi SpasticRams!
You know... Maybe instead of not starting at all until Thursday, you could try a "soft start" now and just try to eat a bit less of everything then you normally would.

This doesn't have to be all or nothing. And having some "sweets" is not "defeat". Over time, you will probably find that some foods don't help you towards your goals and you will probably tend to de-emphasize those (i.e., chips, soda, etc.). Telling yourself that certain foods are "banned" is, IMO, psychologically harder on you then seeing that they don't fit into your goals and choosing not to eat them anymore.

I'd start logging your food now. And begin to workout - even a short walk is a start. Even though you know about the party Wednesday, I'd still log it - and I'd try to cut back a bit - I don't mean sit in the corner and eat celery - have fun, but you know - maybe, for example, choose a smaller piece of cake or a diet soda.

Good Luck!

Another Month
Yesterday was another month. I decided to make Thanksgiving a free day. I still ate healthy just a little more than I usually eat. I eased off my exercise for the day and only exercised in the morning. I am back on my routine and getting closer to my goal. I have lost 17 lbs for the month. I have lost a total of 190 lbs total which is 83% of my goal. I am down to 207 lbs, and I still have a a lot of weight to go. I am going to keep pick away until I get there.

I hit a milestone today.
When I first set my goals ages ago, I set a milestone to work towards. Today I hit that milestone. I have lost more weight than I weigh which means I was double my size when I started. Today I weigh 198 lbs and I have lost 199 lbs. 31 lbs to go.

Its a done deal
Well, I have done it. I have lost 220 lbs and am down to 177 lbs. I have no more weight to lose just skin to tighten up. The doctors are going to be taking me off my heart medications because my health is so good that the meds are actually causing me problems with my heart rate and blood pressure. Both averages are on the low side BP is 111/66 and pulse rate is 48.

It can be done without surgeries or weight loss gimmicks. Just take it slow and pace yourself. It took me almost a year. Now time to work on toning up.

Protein
Egg beaters are a good source of lean protein.
