Is this enough?
Starting today, I'm eating less. Counting everything. And trying to walk 3 miles a day. But I'm trying to lose 74 pounds. No time limit though. But, is it enough?

Sounds great.
Eating less isn't the key - eating smart is. Feed your body with good, whole, unprocessed, nutritional food and avoid all the fast food junk around us and you'll be on your way! All the best for a successful journey to better health.

no, that's the thing. I do eat good. I have a eating problem, constant eating. I'll eat like 20 things in one day.

Evening Cravings...
I have struggled with the evening craving problem too. When I am in weight loss mode I stop eating at 7:00 pm. This works for me because in the evening it seems like eating anything just triggers me to crave more. It starts a vicious cycle that usually ends in pathetic defeat. In my mental game I know that after 7 there will be no more snacking or meals 'til breakfast and then I can stop wondering what I might want to snack on because it is no longer an issue. If my mind turns to food I just think about what I will be eating for breakfast and then focus on something else. If others are snacking around me I will brew myself some hot tea to sip on (I love the different flavors of green tea).
Now, don't misunderstand the directness of my words... As I re-read what I have written I wonder if it sounds like this so very easy for me. It is not... resisting the evening munchies is one of the hardest things I have to do in my ongoing journey but understanding my weaknesses and having a strategy has helped tremendously.
