Its time to "git er dun"
I am 60 and will be 61 in a few days. I have been in the gym with regularity since May 2007 with the exception of a tricep injury that required surgery and about 90 days away from any serious workouts.

I have put in my time with hours of workouts and managed to get my weight down to 238 while participating in a Golds Gym Biggest Loser contest last year. Well Golds is doing it again this year and I'm back at it, but this time much more focused and serious. I weighed in on my scale at 261 on Feb 24 and 259 1/2 on Feb 23 at Golds. I am now at 249. Thats as much weight lost in 6 weeks last year and it is only 2 weeks into this contest.

My focus in being in the gym, of course. Doing the weight training and cardio. However I am very focused on my diet and eating clean. I was told when I went into training almost 3 years ago that 80% of what is accomplished in weight loss and body changes is in the diet. I knew it but wasn't committed. Now I'm committed. My secret to succes thus far is that I am looking at what I want to accomplish one day at a time. I do not cheat, at least thus far, on my diet. I am in the gym every day. Every day I focus on just that day whether it is diet or weight training and it is working.

Focusing on one day at a time is working for me this time. I am focused on my goal of winning this contest which will end in 10 weeks but my focus is today and today only.

Good luck and stay focused.
