I've let myself go
Hello, I'm Lisa. I'm 30 years old. I have 3 kids. My is 9 and my twin girls are 7. I have been through all in my life. I've been through a death of a husband and my son is autistic. I got remarried but, he decides to abuse my son. So, now I'm going through a divorce. With everything going on. I have let myself go. I've gained weight and confidence in myself. I'm trying to find every motivation I can find to help me. I can't do it on my own.

Hi Lisa,

I realize that I am writing you several months after the original post date and I know I hav not been through what you have been through, but I am here for you. I have faced many challenges in my life and weight loss is one of those issues. I know without encouragement, you don't always succeed.

I first must aplaud you for getting away from your abusive husband. It is a hard thing to go through. Although my abuse might be verbal, my step-father hurts everyone in my family and my mother let's it happen. It's not easy to let go because she knows, he doesn't mean it. My step-father had brain surgery and has changed since then. He is mean and lies behind everyone's back. The sad thing is, he doesn't remember he is doing it. Again, I am sure it is not the same, but the pain is there.

Second, one piece of motivation I can offer you is, before you excerise (and come up with a millon reasons not to) just go out and play with your kids. A little workout with them and not only will you be able to spend time with them, you'll b working out and not even notice. If you get some time to workout alone, just pretend that Jillian Michaels (from the Biggest Loser) has come to train you personally and that she is rooting you on while you work out. That always helps me. Make sure that Jillian's words are all positive and that she understands everything that you are thinking about. That helps put things out of my mind during the workout. And at the end of your workout, enjoy the smells and sights around you. I go to the park to run early in the morning and the smell of the grass is what keeps me going. I know all this sounds silly, but I hope it helps.
