MEDICINE BALL VS. KETTLE BELL
Which is more functional a medicine ball or a kettle bell for at home toning workouts? Also, I need advise on choosing the correct weight. The 10 pound is too heavy to perform exercises properly, but a five pound ball is too light.

Depends...
On what you are doing. B/c a kettle bell has a handle, it is much easier to use for one-arm exercises, but for adding weight to ab work, the medicine ball is generally easier to manipulate. Kettle bells go up to a much higher range in weight - so if you are looking to build muscle with things like squats and snatches you'll need the kettles to add enough weight to see a difference. I think the most I've seen for medicine balls is 15 lbs. You can find them in 1 lb increments between 5 and 12 lbs.
