MY LIQUID DIET AND I AM LOOSING
My name is Brenda and am 63 yrs. I have been trying to lose 25 lbs for months now with no success. 8 days ago I became totally fed up and did something I thought would never do. I started a liquid diet of shakes (grocery store/cereal aisle) which I have at breakfast, lunch and dinner. In between I drink lots of water and switch it up sometimes with tea or diet pop. So far, this is the morning of the eighth day and I have already lost 6 lbs! I can see the difference in my clothing. Last week I bought a pair of pants one size smaller and today I almost fit into them. I am taking this plan 10 lbs. at a time so as not to become overwhelmed. This is not a long-term solution. It is short-term and it's working for me!

Never go lower than 1200 calories a day and for one week only. Low calorie diets are quick fixes, but they take their toll in the long run. You will probably gain the weight back you lost once you go back to normal eating. I'm glad to see you know this is short term, but it's not safe. A good combination of eating healthy and exercising is the best key to lifestyle change.

Very true 1144. 1-2 pounds per week is a safe weight loss.
