Muscle soreness/weakness?
I just recently started a fitness regimen to increase muscle mass, since (as I like to say) I am at an ideal weight, but it's mostly composed of skin, bone, and marshmallow fluff.

I started Jillian Michaels' 30-Day Shred on Tuesday. It was challenging but I enjoyed it!

Problem: I woke up on Wednesday and could barely walk, and I'm worse today. It's a little disappointing because I wanted to try to do it every night.

Is this...normal?? Do you have any tips about how to work through it to continue work out, or is there some time you're supposed to take out to let your muscles recover?

Good gracious. I'm 27 and I'm limping around like an old woman. I had to "fall" into my car this morning because I can barely bend my legs. Help!

Make sure you have rest days. Any new form of exercise will make you sore.

Soaking in Epsom salt will help relieve the soreness temporarily. Like 1144 said, give yourself days so your muscles can rest.

Push through...
my biggest mistake was not keeping with it, when I got sore I just stopped. You have to just move through the pain, and slowly you will build up. Great advice from the others. Age is only a number, some 80 year olds are more spy than some 20 year olds....it's all in what you do.
