Need help before I die.....
I am sersiously overweight and I am ready to lose it.
I am a 28 year old female, 6 feet tall and I weight close to 400 pounds.
I just don't know what type of exercises would help me to lose weight.
I feel lost and need somewhere to start.

Any suggestions would be great... I dont want my weight to be the death of me.....

Take baby steps
Start by walking (even 10 minutes for a week and then 15 minutes the next week...keep adding minutes). You can also buy some hand weights or grab 2 cans of soup and do arm workouts when sitting in front of the tv. Try and move your body more. Then try and eat "Clean Foods". There is a great site to learn from ... www.eatclean.com There you can learn how to eat correctly and portion control as well as eating 6 times a day (300-400 calories at eat meal or snack) This will keep you feeling full and rev up your metabolism!
You can do it...if you would like, write to me at [email protected] and I will be your accountability buddy!
Cheers,
Michelle

Boxing-type moves to help you start
(this is just me, but...) If you're medically cleared to workout, I'd suggest starting with something a lot more active than walking.

Something like ...

Part 1:
a) 25 straight arm jabs.
b) take two side steps to your right
c) 25 straight arm jabs
d) take two side steps to your left
e) repeat a) to e) 10 times
f) record how long this takes you
Note: the faster the better

Part2:
a) hands above your head. Arms straight up
b) bring your left knee to your right elbow
c) go back to the starting positon
d) bring the other knee to your other elbow
e) repeat a) to d) 25 times
Note: faster the better

Part3:
a) go into a squat. Butt out and back. Like you're sticking your butt out behind you. Keep your head up, and your shoulders back.
b) now, while still holding the squat position, pretend you were hitting a speed bag using both hands, one at a time. Imagine your hands hitting the speed bag very fast. As if you were pedaling your bike. But, you're with you're using closed fists, instead of your feet.
c) do this for a slow count of 30. If you need to stop and shake out your legs, do so. BUT then get right back into it where you left off.

Part 4:
Now rest for 60 seconds.

Part 5:
Do ALL of the parts (including Part 4) again. Repeat this until 30 mins in total has elapsed. Don't worry. The time will go fast :)

Afew desk moves....
Congratulations on your resolve. That is often the hardest hurdle to overcome - At least for me it is... I too have a desk job and one thing that I have learned is just to keep moving, even if all you can to is cross and uncross your legs under your desk during those OT hours. Also I have a friend that keeps a small dumbbell at her desk & when she is on the phone for extended periods, she just keeps her arms going one set of 5 or ten at a time. It may seem like only a little, you would be surprised at how affective EVERY LITTLE MOVEMENT is.... Good Luck, CrazyBeauty. I hope to hear great things from you this year ;)
