Need help getting to they gym
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this thread but was wondering if anyone feels the same way about the gym as I do. I really enjoy going but find it hard to go by myself. I have no problems going when I have a friend with me but unfortunatley my friends aren't very commited. Does anyone else have anxiety about going to the gym alone or is it just me?
Thanks,
Kim

reply / need help going to the gym
Hi, I am new to this discussion board too - I was in shape this past summer. Recently put on 10lbs. I've been stressed and lazy, and not in the mood to hit the weights, I considered going on long walks would be exercise enough.
Today I worked out to my potential again!!! and I feel like a rockstar! It made me feel like I know what my work is cut out for me.
As for suggestion... NIKE said it best... 'Just do it' - fund something you love to do, so it doesn't feel like a chore.

re gym
I have found going to the gm hard at times but mine is co-ed so I can check out the others while im doing my tredmill and eliptical that helps brake up the bordum as to getting the gear to the gym I load it into the car when I go to work inthe morning so that excuse is not going to happen even if its 2 1/2 blks from my house

yes
I totally feel the same way about going to the gym its crappy that one of the things that would help us is also a lil thing that holds us back. I have three kids and no one will watch them while I go and I just feel like I dont want to be stared at you know. I wish my family would help with the kids you would think they would want to support me in my wanting to lose weight.
