New and seeking motivation
My name is Angel and I this is my first official day of my new diet and exercise program. I really need to find motivation to get up and get moving!
Are there any other counch potatoes out there who can give me a little advice on talking myself into getting going? Any advice would be appreciated. I have a long way to go.
Thank you in advance!

Motivation?
I don't have much motivation either. It's a heck of a lot easier to sit back and do nothing than anything else. You and I have decided that we weren't happy with that so we needed to get off our butts and do something about our situation. My motivation I guess comes from the fact I don't like the way I am and I am going to kill myself trying to improve my overall health instead of just killing myself. You're not alone and I'll help where I can. I got a long way to go so I'm not leaving anytime soon.

I am no couch potato but..
I can tell you once you make a decision to exercise you will reap the rewards. You will feel better and have more energy. I know that may sounds crazy but true. Keep going!

When I feel unmotivated, I get up and take a walk outside or pop in a walking video. Sometimes I have to push myself, but after walking I feel much better.

Understanding
I am feeling the same way about motivation! It can be a difficult task. I can find myself, pumped and ready to go one week and do absolutely nothing the next. I too have a very long way to go. I just had a beautiful daughter in April and I am only a few (I do mean a few) pounds lighter than when I was pregnant. I am glad I joined this website cause I need all the help I can get. This may actually make me own up to my weight loss. Thanks for the ideas, too. Hang in there, cause I am right with ya! Let's do it!!!!!

I might be crazy but...
I am very intune with survival culture and apocalypse culture and I use that as motivation. I want to survive anything and be able to conquer anything and I want my body to be ready for that. It is a wierd reason but whenever I think about sitting on the couch and saying...maybe tomorrow, I remember the zombies might knock on my door. lol.
Moral of my crazy story: find your reason (no matter how odd) and use it. Make it something that is pertinent to your now that you will always be reminded of and you won't ever sit on the couch again.
