New here and dealing with perimenopause
Though i have been a big yo-yo dieter as i have gotten older my focus became so much about weight that i wasn't looking at the big picture for a woman my age and i say that because i have learned so much in the last few month's about perimenopause and menopause. I have a link that i think EVERY women ages 30 and up should check out. It explained alot for me. It will explain alot for some and educate others about what to expect as a women ages. For me personally I think we need more and better education for women about the change of life. Hope this will help some of you who have had trouble finding answers. I have spent so many nights tossing and turning, gaining weight i can't explain or lose no matter what i do or don't do. I am a raging lunatic one second and crying the next. The hot flashes i never even noticed until i started reading about menopause. Unexplained memory loss which scared the crap out of me because my grandmother had Alzheimer and my aunt (grandmas daughter) has dementia. Ladies its important to look at the big picture and I'm finding that a women's change of life is so far in the closet that even doctors try to blame the symptoms on other things, depression, stress, not eating or exercising enough and so often its because they say (or at least told me) your not old enough for menopause... Not true, listen to your body you know how you feel and NO you are not CRAZY! I thought i was beginning to lose my mind but the bullheaded German i am, i wouldn't stop looking for answer's and i never will. I just started a medication non prescription called Amberen, i have only been on it 5 days now and I believe i have already made progress but not sure, just like everything else our bodies all respond differently so time is of the essence. I will keep everyone updated as to how the Amberen works for me. Here is a link for anyone interested in informing themselves on the subject and I encourage men as well as your lady may be having these issues and you think she is just losing it.
Best wishes..
