New here... not to exercise but can't find the motivation
I am new to fitclick, but definitely not new to exercise. I finally am working where I always wanted to in a gym setting but I just don't have the motivation to work out when I am done with my office work. I want to lose 12lbs and I am having the toughest time with it. I take my gym clothes everyday but putting them on and then getting my sweat on is a completely different story. Can anyone help me find my motivation or tell me how you have done it. I have 2 kids who I would give the world to if I could and i want to have the energy and life to give them too but at 5pm I am just DONE.
Thanks for any advice!!

15 minute rule
Tell yourself you are worth 15 minutes out of your day. Make a commitment to go every day for only 15 mintues, once you go you'll probably stay for a half hour to an hour.
The problem usually is just the act to go. At least that is my problem but once I get going I'm into it. After I'm done every workout I feel much better.
This is what works for me, try it. For most people it's a common problem. Good luck ?

Me too!
I've been just as bad too. I used to work out before work, sometimes as early as 4:30am depending on the workout, but getting out of bed that early just seems ludicrous now! haha! I have started scheduling my workouts again. I used to do it and it worked wonders. It's an appointment I have to keep and just as SheenaH said you have to consider yourself just as important as any other appointment!!
Good luck! :)

Walk a block...
Start with walking an extra block a day. Arrive at work 5-15 minutes early and before you go in the door, just walk around the block: once. Do that every day for a week or two, then do it after work as well. It won't add much time to your day but you will reap the benefits.
You will be amazed at how much difference that little bit of effort will make for your general feeling of well-being. It will go a long way to encourage you to make the actual step into the gym!
Yay for you!
