New to the site
Hi! My name is Kim and I just joined this site today.I'm coming from another weightloss site that I was extremely involved in but it it is headed in a direction I do not want to follow.I lost 20lbs. with the help and support of the people on that site and am hoping I can find the same kind of support and friendship here.I am presently at a standstill with my weightloss.....I'm losing the determination I had in the beginning.Any tips on how to get it back?
I would also appreciate any tips for using this site.Hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon.

Hi there!
This is my first weightloss site and I am overjoyed with it.
I hope you will be, too.
What was the weightloss site you came here from?
What was the direction it was headed in?

try evening primrose oil
Just one 500 mg capsule of evening primrose oil every day of the month can level out many undesirable side-effects of the cycle.

Not realistic BMR
"you can see how much weight you can lose per week..very exciting :) "
Not very accurate, the BMR is an estimation, and should adjust to the loss. Mine is 2450, which is not true. It should show 2100 at most. I don't know the algorithm or calculation behind the estimation, but it should be more realistic.

jelab89, you may need to set your BMR to "sedentary"
It may get your BMR down to make sure your level is set at "sedentary".
To see if it is, click on My Progress under the Home tab.
At the end of the KEY STATS area after an asterisk is a sentence in fine print, At the end of that sentence are the words "activity level" in blue. Click on those words. It takes you to a page where you can make sure your activity level is set to sedentary.

I have found this site to be very helpful
So far since I have joined this site 3 weeks ago I have lost 9 pounds and it continues to come off daily. I started off doing the HCG diet and only 500 calories a day but that was a little tough. My stomach has shrunk and I am no longer hungry or craving foods. I do not eat sweets. I am now consuming around 750 calories and exercising and I feel great. Alot of people were concerned about how extreme I was taking this diet, but to be honest this is what works for me and I only need to lose another 15 to be at my goal weight. I work at a computer all day so I dont get much exercise.
For those of you who are really wanting to lose the weight , there are alot of food choices you can make that are very filling yet very low in calories. For example if you like salad- add salmon, tuna or chicken to your lettuce and your favorite salad dressing and you have a very low calorie meal... Mine is less than 120 calories and I am stuffed. Also campbells healthy request soups are only 100 calories for the entire can. If you have the will to lose the weight you can do this....
I am like a yoyo with my weight, its up its down....... But I am not gonna let my weight defeat me..... I think I have a handle on it now and I am hoping to keep my weight down once I lose it... Good luck to everyone and I hope you reach your goals....
