I try to avoid the scale as much as possible and knowing that your weight will go up and down on a day to day basis. I started 5 weeks ago walking with a friend and at that time I could barely do 2 miles... now for the first time today my friend and I did 11 miles in 2 hours and 40 min. Now that is real motivation for me. I really want to get to where I can run a 5k for breast cancer that is coming up in September...So those are my motivations. I am seeing some weight loss about 12lbs, but I have more energy, and better endurance since I started walking.

I used to struggle to get to 10,000 steps per day. Now if I don't have AT LEAST 10,000 I get restless and have too much energy and drive my family nuts!! Most days I average over 16,000 steps. My days range between 12,000 and 30,000. I would never have believed that 4 years ago!! :)
